Personally I think that in many cases the women are parasites and the men are idiots.

Are the courts deliberately trying to sour productive men on marriage?

If you're stupid enough to get married then you deserve to have your money taken. If it was my decision I'd get rid of pre nups and make it mandatory to give the girl half your money. We live in a culture that knows marriages end in divorce often enough to not be deluded about them. Marriage is a pointless thing.

If I ever get married it's gunna be some hilarious 24/7 drive-thru chapel shit in Vegas, dressed as Elvis, to a hooker I met in Caesar's Palace an hour before. In fact it's one of my life's ambitions.

this isn't true. there is a huge misconception that cohabiting = the same as marriage.

The only thing they can take half of is that which they can argue they own half of or helped with the building/making of.

technically then it isn't ur stuff. plus, US & UK law often get mixed up.

And i agree she should be provided she can prove she supported you financially or shared bills.

So I got married. And that classed me as stupid. And I paid maintenance for my kid and divorce settlement so my kids can have a roof over their heads, so I deserve to have my money taken? Some idiots don't have a fucking clue.
