Singles Event Strategies

Been to one Singles event and found it full of chumps. However it created an interesting social dynamic where chumps where hogging all the ladies and forming groups.

Whats the forums key strategies for being successful at Singles Events?

It's like a networking event.

Do hot girls ever go to things like speed dating? Is it not all middle aged desperate ex housewives?

I went to two speed dating events years ago in London. On both nights there were two women out of the ten there who I considered quite hot.

Some guys there approached them before the event started properly and got their numbers. And after the event they were getting hit on and you couldn't get near them. I remember feeling a bit pissed off about that.

I got a date out of it but I didn't really fancy the girl so it didn't go anywhere.

There's one coming up soon that one of the lads posted on our private Facebook group. It's £20 quid or something & a couple of them want to go but I'm not so sure. I imagine walking in, being disappointed with the girls there, walking out.

My advice would be, if you go along, approach the best looking ones right away. The actual event is arbitrary, the reason they are there is because they're looking to meet a guy. That's what your paying for. Look at it that way.

I'd stay away from the Plenty Of Fish singles nights - from my brief experience, dude fests and desperate women.. Match do a much better job by all accounts and use much classier/cooler venues. Had some good speed dating experiences and follow-on dates and some not so good. If I go speed dating again, I would definitely go along early and stay late - always an interesting opener "hey, how's it going - are you here for the speed dating thing?"

Regarding the chumps - are they all chumps? or is there anyone that you would consider getting to know as a potential good wing for future exploits together?

The ones I went to they also charged grossly inflated prices for drinks so have a drink before you get to the venue.
