what is she telling me?

Recently been out clubbing, so I joined a group of girls on the dancefloor and began dancing with them.
In between songs, I asked them for their names, and I also introduced myself to them.
Eventually I got closer to the desired target of the group, and I sneaked in a cheeky kiss on her cheek. (mistake I know.)
She did not instantly back off but she looked a little displeased however did not move too far away(about half a metre away) and continued dancing.
Sensing the negative response, I simply danced on for a little while and moved on.

What does this tell me? I am thinking that this is a red light and the fact that she isn't backing off is because she thought the kiss was just a mishit due to how close we were dancing together.

(i apologise if its not entirely clear, I have only been in this country for a few years.)

maybe the girl(s) were just wondering who you were. They hadn't decided if they liked or disliked you yet (trusted or distrusted).

It doesn't mean you are a likeable or dislikeable person. You just need to connect with them so they feel comfortable before you engage with them more intimately.

The same way you would feel if a stranger approached you.
