This sort of advice is useful if you've already established yourself as a high value, socially awesome person in the first place. That way, it will mean more to a woman if you hold a door for her or act thoughtfully - you're saying that although you consider yourself of very high social value, you value her even higher.

If in the relationship you've always been the subservient, needy one, this sort of stuff won't mean shit to her. Think about when soldiers are trained in the military. If they see their commanding officer outperforming them in every task (ie he is superior in every way), his praise and approval will mean that much more. They'll feel like they earned it and in turn feel endeared to him.

Either way, act without shame or apology. As long as you maintain a strong alpha frame, she will respect you. She thinks you offering to pay the bill is lame? Fuck her, that's just how you roll.

Lol legend, im not after poon man. Well, not exactly. I'm more into pickup to check out girls and find out if we'd be good together. But, that said, I tend to not be attracted to girls I can win over easily and girls I do really want I seem to suck at attracting.

In relation to this thread though, I do agree guys should be polite etc. but not in that cheesey white knight way. S'all about having fun, being too polite makes you boring and look weak generally - that is within reason though. As Blanca said if you've established yourself then it is good to gradually reward a woman's efforts etc.

In addition; the point in my comment was just being ironic - being too nice is generally far more attractive than being too 'bad' (within reason again, serial killers arent a hit with ladies im guessing.)

They're not awful rules but they're not exactly the key to success. I think they're there to try to make inexperienced guys treat women well so not to piss women off and make them leave the site but if this was the key to success we wouldn't need this forum.

Argh!! I hate the way they use the word 'gentleman' in point 5... damn!! That's the problem with the way we've all initally been sedated by society's cheesy restrained attitude towards the rules of a relationship. Be this, be that. Most of this is common sense anyway.
