Text game with 8/9's
 

So I 'scored' the number of this really attractive girl (didn't even ask for it - good sign surely?) and it's struck me that I actually give a damn about how this pans out for a change, which has made me very cautious of what I say. Up till now I've been dating girls who I deem 'below' myself in terms of quality..probably a little arrogant of me to say so, but it's just my perceptions right, I can't help it!

So does text game differ with hot girls? should I try to be more challenging? Keep things brief and try to arrange a date? try to build rapport and be funny? aaargh! So far we've exchanged a couple of texts with long gaps in between (6 hours), the first of which was my fault cause I was in work.

I'm probably over thinking this..I'm just not used to being this attracted to a girl, normally I don't give a crap and just go with the flow! :vroam:

The way I see if with any texting is that it should lead to one outcome and that's a date. This doesn't mean you cant text random things but cut the pointless texts just for the sake of texting. When texting I think the idea is to create a bond that will cut out a lot of awkward tension when you hook up. Give her a nickname and be playfull but make sure that it leads somewhere.

Like Jynxy said, there is a point to you getting her number, and that is not to be a text buddy friend, but to arrange a date. Start working towards that. If you find it hard to text ring her and sort it out. Lead and be decisive.

Yeah cheers, that makes sense. I've tried to make my texts a little cheeky/funny/teasing with a question or two about her thrown in..Few more days of this and then ask her on a date towards end of the week I think, seems reasonable to me? :/

Dude don't work it over days, be direct and to the point;
fluff for the first message or 2 and then flirt a little and frame whatever she says like she is asking you on a date.

So if she says something:
This week I finish work late nearly everynight :( x

Say something back like:
Well I don't usually like going on dates too late but for you I can make an exception ;) x

I think it's got to be done soon actually, text messages seem to be trending long and far apart rather than short and frequent. So I can imagine momentum to fall pretty quickly if this carries on.

Out of interest what would you normally do/say with the sub-standard girls?

Don't wait until the end of the week. Always strike whilst the Iron is still hot!! I've lost tons of girls by pussy footing around like that. Arrange the date within the first 10 texts.

I would text them when they text me, straight away, or when was good for me..wouldn't really think about it too much. I'd always keep it playful and light, exchanging bits of info about me and asking questions..And ask them out after about a week if chatting was going well..Like I say, I'm not actually sure what I do cause I don't really agonize over it.

Cheers Hustler, 10 texts seems reasonable..Is that 10 long texts? (which they seem to be at the moment). She's upped the ante to two x's now which I think is a good sign she's still interested haha.

Why do you feel the need to change this format? Especially if she is showing so much interest like you say.
