Belly fat isn't going

I've been hitting the gym 3 to 4 times a week. I've been doing weights, increasing the weight and trying my best to get the right technique.. Then I've been blasting 10 - 15 mins of high intense interval training on treadmill / elliptical / rower after my sessions.. I'll admit I haven't had a cardio only day until today where I went on a high intense bike ride..

I've been eating a lot healthier, no chocolate or fizzy pop, just drinking water and cutting out all the shit and eating better stuff..

The thing I haven't yet got is protein powder which I will get on pay day..

My muscles in my pecs, shoulders, arms and legs have been growing at a decent rate, but my belly fat is not shrinking at all. I have lost a stone in weight over about 6 to 7 weeks, but my belly has not reduced. I just look bloated and its quite noticable..

Any ideas?

There's no such thing as targeted weight loss. Its a myth used to sell products as far as I'm aware. Could be wrong and the more knowledgeable might correct me though.

Keep losing fat, your body will turn to that area at some point. Everyone is different.

Yeah I knew you can't spot target fat loss.. but I'd at least like to see some results after a couple of months.. maybe I need to up the cardio or something..

I'm guna keep at it cos I'm loving the way my shoulders and arms are looking..

Mate if you've lost a stone, whilst increasing your muscle mass, then your belly will have shrunk. Have you noticed any other parts of your body slimming down?
I remember on a previous post of yours, you were primarily concerned about losing your belly. As I think was said on that post it isn't possible to target fat loss on any particular part of your body, but as you lose body fat it will be reduced in every part of your body.
It's very common for people losing weight to develop a mild form of body dysmorphia (where they amplify negative physical aspects within their minds), I wouldn't be surprised if this were the case here Dan.
Concentrate on the massive positives that you are achieving, i.e eating properly, getting more muscular and losing weight. Keep it up! :)

Doing moderate cardio (at something like 135bpm) for sustained periods will burn through decent amounts of fat remarkably quickly. Always make sure your eating right.
Like I said a second ago, you seem to be doing really well.

As my personal trainer friend told me - it's your last bastion of fat! The hardest bit to say goodbuy to!

For my its the love handles on my hips, belly fat however i can unbloat and shrink down in a matter of a fortnight when i've been a little fatty!

You're doing the right thing but losing that last little bit of fat is killer!

Tell me your diet and I might be able to tell you why. Diet is so important. Not sure how much calories you consume daily. Aim for 2000-2500 calories a day. Cut down on the alcohol if you drinking esp weekend binge.
You can train as hard as you want but if you diet is shit, you fighting a losing batter. Try a fat burner as well (T5 is a good one).

When you are natural, it is very very difficult to lose fat AND build muscle at the same time because your body needs to be in 2 different states for either.

but.....

As Ledg says post us up your diet and we can start from there.

Diet:

6.30am omelate from 2 eggs / bowl of 2 weetabix
8.30am sausage cob / bacon cob (sometimes a cheese on toast)
12pm Banana, Ham cobs (wholemeal cobs), or chicken wraps
2pm, another banana

Then GYM or cardio bike ride or something (time varies though)

Either before or after gym I have a meal, beans on toast or a bowl of pasta or an omelate

Then sometimes a bowl of cerial before bed..

I'm aware its not great yet but I have cut out all fizzy pop, all chocolate, and I'm starting to make myself eat more regularly cos I used to not eat that much..

I have the occasional pizza on a saturday night.. and some days I might have a can of Monster which probably isn't helping..

On pay day I will buy whey protein powder..

I'm aware theres no green in that diet, but it just makes me puke to be honest. Also fish makes me puke like tuna.

I think I'm guna do what Phil said and do two weeks of daily intense cardio
