pressure = freaky internal bruising
am a bit worried.
whenever i go heavy on bench press, in particular decline bench, i get dark red bruise marks on my forehead and around my temples, internal bruisng, burst capilaries.....god knows what it is, but its freaky! it doesnt hurt but if i do a hard session, by the end of it i look like ive been battered i love pushing myself especially on chest but i dont want a brain hemorrhage i got it another time when wrestling with a mate, he put me in a triangle choke. it was my first one. i started to strugle to get out not realising i was making it worse, all i remember then is all this air forcing its way out of my mouth and nose (i sounded like a horse). then i went proper dizzy and nearly passed out, was freaky! i chilled for a couple of mins then looked in the mirror and my head was covered in red marks. clearly its to do with pressure build up and not breathing correctly. do any of you guys get it? wondering whether my head will adapt and acclimatise to working under immense physical pressure? really dont want permanent damage, cosmetic or serious. |
I would imagine it has to to with the increase in blood pressure when lifting weights. The bench along with dead lifts and squats are high pressure lifts.
I get marks on my traps when I use the squatting machine cos the pads are pushing about 200kg on my shoulders I think it's burst capillaries due to the blood pressure. i'd go see a doctor just in case. |
You are bursting blood vessels but ive not heard of people doing it decline benching before.
I think your breathing needs looking at as you are holding your breath and straining too much possibly? |
