Protein shakes

So I'm on a high protein diet but haven't supplemented this with any protein shakes as of yet. I didn't realise there was soooo many options out there. Anyone recommend a good brand that's reasonably priced??

Myprotein.com. Bulkpowders.com. Buy a blender for them.

If you get the super cheap non-flavoured one you can buy your own milkshake powder to add to it, works out cheaper.

Heinz chicken soup buy in bulk from Costco

Cheers guys. I've looked into Nutrisport90+ reasonably priced and 90grams of protein per 100gram serving. Immense!

nutrisport is vile, either tastes like shite or doesnt mix very well, sometimes doesnt even mix at all.

Nice baps caveman, are they real?

Myprotein is the cheapest by far, its just protein molecules so anything more you pay is generally just the brand.

Is this shit actually healthy for you, or just good for bulking up your muscles?

Get any standard whey protein.
Don't buy any of the shite loaded with all sorts of extra crap. It's all marketing.
People bang on about X being better than Y, but the only real difference between brands is the taste really.

I'd recommend optimum nutrition gold standard. Or if you're on a tight budget, my protein or CNP.
All the above are tasty.

@nova: protein is an important part of any healthy diet.
Even if you don't work out, I'd recommend having a shake for breakfast. If you tend to put on weight, replace some of the carbs in your diet with protein and it makes it much easier to control your weight.
Protein also keeps you full for longer.

Hustler25 - if you're genuinely on a 'high protein' diet then you don't need protein shakes. It's the protein shake industry that promotes it. The bodybuilders etc out there - in addition to steroids - just focus on eating lots of proper protein rich food and rarely use shakes.
