First field report - 7 sets - detailed

Alright lads, this is my first field report i'm looking for some thoughts and feedback

Last night i met up with a couple of guys from the forum for the first time. I'd just like to give a shout out to Great Looking Guy and Johnnyb who were the first guys i met up with, everyone was friendly but you two guys - you're especially good lads.

We opened many sets, Great Looking Guy is like a machine when it comes to opening, anyone anywhere, he doesn't seem to have a problem... i guess the challenge comes converting these openings! We got warmed up with "bouncing", we took turns just opening random sets, whether anything came from it or not, it was a very good way to relieve approach anxiety... Ok down to the sets that did matter, there were a fair few of them, some i could have maybe done better with others i think i was never going to be able to convert regardless but i'll lay all of the ones worth talking out below

FIRST SET

During the bounce game i approached a couple of HB6's, i used the opener "we were just outside and my friend got asked if we sold drugs, does he look like a drug dealer to you? is it his style?", i was referring to Great Looking Guy here - thanks mate. they laughed and were a little bit of fun, but their English wasn't great so and the night was early so i just moved on and got back to the group.

Lesson - the opener worked well, if the girl is light hearted it can be a fun conversation

SECOND SET

Two women were smoking outside, i went outside to hustle them for a cigarrette with a trick i'll share with you a few sets down, they were about 35 and no more than HB3's or HB4's, they also had a really bad attitude but we were still playing the bounce game so i thought why not. Walked outside and asked them if they had a cigarette packet, the looked at me and basically told me to fuck off.... good day to you too!

Lesson - some girls are just bitches, but approach them anyway as it helps with the approach anxiety

THIRD SET

after a while we changed venues, in the new venue i went up to a 4 set, HB8's and HB7's. I guess i made the mistake of approaching from behind but it was loud and there was nowhere else to come from, to be honest i don't think it would have made much difference. i tapped on of the girls on the back and used the drug dealer opening. she turned around and said, well i can't tell if he is facing the wrong way. I she had her guard all the way up, after about 30 seconds of talking to her i knew it was a dead set told her to have a good night and moved on

Lesson - A funny opener doesn't always lower the girls guard


FOURTH SET

Great looking guy opened three swedish girls, probably a HB6, HB7 and HB9. The HB9 looked like nicole kidman, very classy. As Great looking guy pointed out to me several times i got a case of oneitis! i got fixed on the HB9. I didn't neg her, she was a really nice girl and i couldn't bring myself to do it. We were talking on and off for an hour. I raised my social value with a few stores, we discussed several things. I didn't lean in atall, it was loud and i worked her so she was constantly leaning into me, her face was constantly right up against mine as she leaned in. There was definately a lot of Kino, all initiated by her. several jabs, touches etc. after a while of her touching me started to lean into her occasionally, when i did i touched her hips, it was all quite natural because there was quite a lot of contact anyway.

It got to the point where i didn't know how to escalate. I think she was just just a really friendly girl, any other girl with this many signs i would have gone for the kiss a long time ago, but with her i was getting the impression she was just like this. I was stuck, i didn't know what to do. There was no friends awkwardness between us and not for one second did i give the impression i was chasing her, i was dipping in and out of talking to her friends. After a while her friends grabbed her to pulled her off to the toilet, she said "you'll be here won't you", i said "yea sure"... anyway needless to say she didn't come back. I saw her later on in the evening a few times from across the room, she smiled and me and i smiled at her but that was it.

Lesson - I have no idea

Guys - what was this? was it just a case of a friendly girl? could i have progressed it? All of the theoretical signs were there but i just didn't feel like i was in a position to escalate, she seemed too classy.


FIFTH SET

I was at the bar getting a drink and there was a HB8 next to me. I just turned my head, kept my body language facing away from her and said

Me - did you see those two girls fighting outside?
Her - No... what happened? (very curious)
Me - Well there were two girls pulling eachothers hair and bitchslapping eachother over some guy called donald... i mean, what kind of name is donald?
Her - hahahaha

I think there was a little small talk and then she got her drinks turned to me and said something along the lines of, "have a good night"

Lesson - Again i don't know, any suggestions here lads?


SIXTH SET

I was outside in the smoking area and i approached a 4 set, I male and three females. I focused what i think was a couple, if not they were good friends. I wanted a cigarette so i hustled them for one. they had a cigarette packet and i said to them if i can make that cigarette packet a cigarette lighter will you give me a cigarette? they said yes. so i picked up the packet, looked at it for a little while, opened the packet, took one out, closed the packet and then gave it back to them. I then said.... "there you go, that's now one cigarette lighter than what it was". I think they appreciated the hustle but they were not really that friendly.

I then said to the girl, pick an number between one and four, don't tell me, it was three i got it right. Then i i said pick a number between one and ten, i then said seven, she said i was right again. This was probably the smoothest exchange i've had with these tricks, everything went right but this girl just wasn't really that engaged, i only spoke to them for about 5 minutes in total and then left

Lesson - sometimes it doesn't matter what you say and what you do, some people prefer just to stay within their own little group


SEVENTH SET - and the most interesting one

it was probably about 1.30am by this point, i was outside in the smoking area again with great looking guy, he opened a two set, i can't even remember how. There was a HB8 great looking guy was talking to, she was from Bristol though i didn't get the impression she was out to meet any guys. The other girl had a pretty face but not a great body, she was probably a HB6. She had a lot of personality though which i liked.

I started talking to her, i can't remember how i started, early on in the conversation i could tell she was fiesty, she was the type of girl that dishes out a lot of shit but underneath all that she was soft. I then hustled her for a cigarette with the cigarett lighter trick. Then i tried the guess a number, both versions, neither of them worked, but i laughed it off and said, ok i'll tell you what if you think you are so smart. i'll ask you five questions and you have to get them all wrong. She initally wanted to do it, then she started giving me shit like she wasn't bothered so i just said fine, started ignoring her and speaking to her friend, after a little bit we got talking again, i can't remember how.

then and this was the pivitol moment, she referred to me as mate or something along the lines of that. In the past i would have just tried to get her back on side but one thing i have learned from all of the "game" material is how well IODs work when you push them back on the target... and yet again it worked like a charm.

Her - whatever mate
Me - Chill out DUDE
Her - DUDE? who do you think you are? that is so rude
Me - seriously DUDE, just chill
Her - look at you, you think you are something special, you're mr flashy fucker
Me - look, just calm down, we've clearly got off on the wrong foot, let me ask you those five question and see how clever you are (i took her hand and pulled it towards me)
Her - no i'm not bothered
Me - ok fine (turn away)
Her - OK show me the 5 questions

I then used Styles 5 question routine on her... she didn't get passed question three... i gave her a lot of shit for getting it wrong, she was quite playful and definately interested in me at this point. Then the bloody bouncer came out and said they were about to close, i went back inside with her. Then we were basically giving eachother shit tests. Then this guy came up to her and started trying to chat her up. I knew she definately liked me at this point so instead of watching i just walked away like i wasn't that bothered. Then everyone started to leave the venue, i went over close to where she was and just acted like i was texting on my phone, i didn't approach, i conveyed that i wasn't bothered. Everyone started leaving so i looked at her as if to say "what the fuck?", i had to do something at this point, she came over to me.

Me - Look the night is over, everyone is leaving, i'm past the games, i like you
Her - why do you think i kept looking at you the whole time i was talking to that guy
Me - don't fuck me around, don't hustle a hustler
Her - i wasn't
Her friend and some guys - come on we are going somewhere else, both you two should come
Her - (to me) come on (takes me hand)

we go outside, at this point i am very apprehensive. This girl is full of cheek and from what i can work out the only way to work her, keep her feet on the ground and keep in control is if i can keep giving her IODs everytime she gives me the shit test. But if i go with her i lose my wings, i'm basically at her mercy. After having a bit of a debate with her, i end up walking with them. We step to the side of the street

Me - if i come to this other club with you, we will get in there and you will just fuck me around so just give me your number
Her - No, when i give guys my number they don't call me
Me - i will just give me your number
Her - you don't even know my name (she had told me but i forgot)
Me - stop giving me shit and give me you number... you don't even know my name either so leave it out

As She gives me her number my phone started ringing from a girl i've been kind of seeing for the last week. She says "who the fuck is that", i saw, noeone, just put your number in, she does but i know this pushed her buttons.

she then gives me more shit and goes to walk off so i would follow her. But by this point i've left the other guys, i'm further from home than i want to be and i'm comtemplating whether or not i should follow. if i do, i could pay to get into this club, she could fuck me over and i'd be on my own. I definately knew she was interested but she was giving me constant shit tests and there was too much risk attached here so i thought... fuck this

I didn't really have any intention of seeing her again so and i was fucked off by this point, it was like 2.30, i was in east london and i live in west! I texted her and just said "well done, you played me". I got a call from from the other girl i have been seeing and agreed to meet her in central and go back to hers at this point. On the way to central i got a missed call from the HB6. i'd had enough by this point so i texted and said "i actually quite liked you, the guys you are with just want to fuck you, you will never see them again (i might have seen her again), it doesn't matter, i've already deleted your number now (which i had), no chance!". she texted me back and said "i didn't play you, you were the one who didn't come to the club, well done". I just deleted the text and that was that.

I ended up meeting the girl i've been seeing and going back to hers anyway. But i didn't know what to make from the whole night. i definatley built a lot of attraction but i didn't want to put myself out there to get fucked over so i chose not to. I'm sure i could have salvaged something with her number but by this point i couldn't be fucked anymore

Great night. Progress made. I went in for the close with more intent than before. Should have pursued a few of the sets with more aggro in hindsight. All good though, even better results in the offing. Amazing venue, that Bar and Kitchen place in Hoxton.

Retro, that Swedish HBNicoleKidmanLookalike was all up for it. In fact all three were up for it. I wonder how SmileyK did with HBZebraStripes (I saw his hand on her a$$ at one point lol). I ended up making out with my bird and she was in two minds on whether to come back to mine, but seeing as she was visiting the city and jetting off back to Sweden on Tuesday her friends didn't want to leave her alone. Maybe things would have been different if all three of us were making out with all three of them! Afterparty times deluxe :-) Next time!

I have to admit i was struggling to work out whether they were actually up for it or not. Next time maybe i should just go in for it regardless or use the classic "would you like to kiss me"

I think you should just ASSUME they are up for it. If they're not, then you are suprised.

And don't ask if they want to kiss you. Tell them that you are going to kiss them
