Not really been into this stuff for long, but decided to have a crack at some stuff i've been reading in the game, and my result was quite interesting.. =)

I was at a radio station, underground sorta, its a studio in somebodys house, and there was about 8 lads there a few of them i knew well, then two girls popped up.. pretty as mind.. then as you can imagine all the blokes were like hey sound, *passes spliff* blah blah all that shit, and i just completley ignored them and made convosation with everybody else, and carried on raving on my larry by the decks, and i started to notice them looking at me, even though by this point they had been there for about 2 hours, and i still didn't really know properly what they looked like, just that they were fit and a good test.. so im there raving away, and i think are they looking at me or not? and it got really noticable and kind of annoying..

Then suddenly one walked over in my direction, and i think she started to walk up to me, and then quickly turned away and started warming her hands up on the heater, lent over infront of me and tapped her ash into the tray, but i was convinced she was about to talk to me,

They then eventually came and sat down litteraly right infront of me, yet i didnt go and talk to them.... so im never going to really know whether they were giving me attention or not.

(Only reason i didn't is because im only up to like chapter four of the game, so im not very confident yet :P)

Feedback appreciated =)

Talk to them.

Say "Hey".

Think of it this way - you're now telling a tale of how you didn't speak to someone who came and sat right next to you when you could be telling a whole other story about what you got up to that night.

Especially at a small gathering it's more than usual for people to chat - as Zed so rightly said, all you need to do is say "hey".

But...

you've already learnt something, which is to differentiate yourself from all the other ballsacks in the room. By NOT paying them attention, they want to know what's so special about you.

Next step, as others have said, is say "hey".

Keep it to simple acknowledgement, if you're feeling confident, let them do the work and ask you questions.

Thankyou all =) I appreciate it, just wanted to get a bit more confidence in it all before i get going anywhere, will say hey next time.. dw

Just wanted to share my experience like the above says, of not doing what every other tool does in the room, and not pay them attention, and it seemed to work..

Maybe if theres any beginners out there like me, this will be a bit of motivation for them? It was for me!
