Yesterday was quite an interesting, and frustrating but still fun day.

After a long week of work and training, I decided that I was not in the mood for going out, so I bailed on quite a large group of friends, who I was supposed to be going out with in central. I was just not in the mood for a big effort. Early in the evening I got a text from 2 of my closest friends (a couple who I have known since uni) who asked me if I wanted to just pop round to theirs for a chill out night instead. There would just be 4 or 5 of us there, all people who I already knew so I thought it would be good and relaxing, just what I needed!

When I got there, there was a girl there, who I didn't know, friend of my friends who had just moved to their area. She was in my opinion a HB7, and I felt like a proper caveman! Unshaven, and had shorts and an old t-shirt on, as was not expecting any possiblity to game. I was quite impressed that I managed to actually stay at the hopuse and not politely excuse myself!!

We were all chatting and getting on well with a few laughs, (I think that is one of my major benefits in terms of game, I can be quite witty and funny, and good at creating humour) and when I feel the time is right (and there was a space next to HB7 on the sofa) I move in. We had been talking about religion, and then moved onto ghostly apparitions and supernatural feelings. I used this as a chance to DHV, so ran a hypnotic kino experience I learned at uni (although was well impressed it still worked as hadn't run it for years!) I used this to initiate and escalate genuine kino, and went quickly from touching her elbow and arm, to taking her hand and leading her up off the couch and out to the kitchen. I was really amazed at I felt like I was almost running on autopilot now. After another hour or so, with me pushing and pulling, going between giving her my full attention and addressing the whole room, everyone was making their excuses to leave, so I offered to drive HB7 home, she accepted, great! Now the frustrating part...

My mate who was there decides that he is getting a lift too. So he just gets into the car too, I am in two minds what to say to be honest, do I tell him to get the fuck out and look really rude in front of the girl, or do i just go with it. I have known this guy a long time, and he is a good guy. I really don't think he meant any harm, but was so annoying! So I go with the nice guy approach, and agree to drive him home too. As we discuss the route to drop people back, the HB says she lives about 15mins away, while my mate is staying a good 40mins away. This is where I fucked up. I know I should have taken my mate home first, to allow me to be alone again with the girl, but my polite guy inside took over. I did not want it to appear obvious that I wanted to be alone in my car with this girl I had just met. I am certain she trusted me (she said so during the hypnotic kino demo), but anxiety got the better of me, I took her home first. When I left her, she learnt over (she was in front passenger seat at least!) and gave me a kiss, which landed right between lips and cheek, was that her aim? Or me trying to turn a friendly cheek peck into more? No idea! When she left she paid very little attention to my friend, so I took that as an IOI. We had swapped numbers, business cards actually, over the course of the night, so maybe I will see her again.

It was great to actually have some field experience (albeit very basic) and although it didn't really help get over my AA, as we were introduced, it was nice to meet someone new.

Mate I definitely wouldn't call it a monumental failure. Sounded like you did great to me, exchanged numbers after running on auto pilot for the whole night! I feel that unless you have no intention of seeing her again, a number close is way better than a kiss close. I would have done the same thing if my cock blocking mate got in the car.

If I were you I would give her a call, try to arrange a day 2 and get that kiss close you were after!
