So thought I'd tell you a little bit about my Saturday night, I was amazing and had a bloody good time.

Went out with a couple of fellas from work with no real intentions but they'd hear me talk about some of my exploits out and about so they had some expectations.

End up going to my usual Saturday night haunt only to find it's an utter cock fest. Finish my drink and head outside for a cigarette. When I get outside this hb7 and her male friend stand by me as I light up and start bantering with each other so it's hard for me to stifle a laugh. Get invited in to the set by the guy as he continues taking the piss. I play along for a little while then pull out my favourite "guess your card trick" just as my workmates come out. Greet them briefly and do the trick so she is flabbergasted and I can see that "I want you look in her eye".

Thought this was the perfect moment for a takeaway so declare that I'm heading back inside to get a drink. From that moment on where ever I went she followed.

My workmates now see me as a living legend and I got her number, which is my first number close since picking up the game and deciding that this was what I needed.

The point of this was that as my mates came out they added to the mystery of the trick and gave me a bucket load of social status. It made me realise that I need to stop turning on the energy when I enter a set and just do it all the time. I literally lead the men and they enabled me to better lead the woman.

Nice one Rocknrolla, I guess it comes down to the girl seeing that if her male friends are having a laugh and gettign on well with you then you MUST be a decent guy. Kind of like you passing a test I guess?

In a nutshell, can you explain the "guess your card trick?". Would I be right in assuming that you don't need a deck?

It's a long method to be honest and I don't think I'd do it justice, all though it is really easy to do. Basically it's called magicians choice. You have a set card, for example I use the three of diamonds and you guide them through it negging them on the way.

First step - Choose a colour. If they choose red cool. If they choose black say something like "I could tell you had a black heart" and then tell them they want to discard it.

NB: Never through this trick say "I want you to discard". They must always believe that they are making the choice, this is where the trick has its real magic effect.

Second Step - Choose hearts or diamonds. Same effect again choose which one is right for your chosen card. I like to use a "I knew you were all about material things" line if they choose diamonds before letting them keep diamonds.

Third step - Odds or evens. I use the three of diamonds so I lead them to odds. If they say odds straight off the bat I say "I knew you were an odd ball" as another little neg.

Fourth step - If you're down to odds you have the A, 3, 5, 7, 9, J, K. I review these options and pause after the 7 as if I'm trying to remember what the rest of the cards are. This gives them less significance and makes it easier for you to lead them. Then tell them to pick three cards. If they don't pick the three as an option get them to discard them.

Fifth step - They choose a card and tell you what it is. If they choose the three tell them that is their card. Ask if they are happy with this whilst smiling and maybe give a half nod to reaffirm that this is what they want. Tell them they are in a room and that they are going to hide it. Think of the most secure place to put it. This could be a safe or chest etc. Then produce the card and say that it obviously wasn't that safe. The best way to do this is to hide it at an opportune moment beforehand in a hand bag but failing that a slight of hand where you make it appear from nowhere is just as good.

If they choose the other cards then they "choose" to shred it or put it in the fire or something.

The best way to pull this off is constant misdirection mixed with negging and after the effect has taken place immediately switch to another topic of conversation so they can't easily remember the steps and fill in the gaps with false memories of free choice.

This is good for making them feel like you are attuned already, that you know them.

Try it and tell me if you like it. It can have a really powerful effect if done correctly. I hope this explanation helps.
