Round 2: Loughborough Freshers week (first night)

Went out to the union for freshers week last night. Wasnt intending to drink but ended up being roped into it by my mates! Got to the union at about 10ish. As soon as i got there i felt great! The night was young and i felt confident and evelvated above the freshers lol!

I wanted to dive straight in there with the sarging so when my group stopped at the bar, i went straight into convo with a 2 set. (I know 2 sets can be hard but i just went for it). Used it as a warm up...they were both HB6's (one asian, one white girl). Opened with the a cheeky opener, "at least pretend that you're having fun ladies!" they both laugh and i give off a joking smile and body language. The set goes well, my stand in wing was a bit of a chode tho. I give some playful banter and the asian HB6 responds with some light kino. I tell them a little bit about me and vice versa. I rip into the asian HB6 for texting her ex and the white HB6 laughs. I keep talking and while my mate distracts the asian HB6 i ask for white HB6's number. Shes declines and walks off.

I still felt pretty funky at this point but the group of lads i was out with went off to the dance floor. I eventually find them and open a 3-set of fresher girls one is HB8 (target), then a HB7 and HB6. There are other girls around but they weren;t really part of the set. By this time i had had 5 or 6 drinks and i think reems of shite were begining to roll off my tongue . Anyways, being the more sociable of my group, i open the 3-set, tho for the life of me i cannot remember what i said, but she seems pretty lively but i think she thinks im a bit of prat with the babbling nonsensical turd im coming out with. Anyways, my mate steals my target and within minutes k-closes her. Pretty gutted to be honest, i admit that he's taller and better looking than me but that isnt the reason why i lost her. He's a natural AMOG, where as i seemed to be the natual clown at that point. Anyways, i think to myself "fuck it" and move on.

Next set, i see a mixed group of girls and guys (all freshers). So i march up and act real alpha by putting on a cocky smile and marching straight into the group! I jiggle a bit and the group laugh and look amused by my ballsy style. I feel pretty good and i say to the whole group in a kim-jong-ill style accent me: "ohhhh herro!"
I ignore my target (a small, cute, blonde HB7/8) and say with a cocky smile to the freshers,
me: "dont look so nervous people im not gonna bit....hard!" the HB7/8 laughs and responds by asking me questions about who i am etc, i say to her,
"come on lets not ask the borng typical fresher questions! i thought you had more imagination than that...maybe i was wrong!"
HB7/8, laughs and continues to talk to me. She ask me my name,
me: "im Romeo!"
HB7/8: "Really!"
me: "Yeah, and you're my juliet!"

HB7/8 laughs and i build some kino and she give a some back. She then asks if she can draw on my face, and i agree "fuck it" i think. I say
me: "if you draw a cock on my face, im going to be most unimpressed"
HB7/8, cheekily smiles, (i shouldnt have put the thought into her head, and she draws a cock on my cheek!). HB7/8 "I just want you to know you're a really funny guy and all but i have a boyfriend and i cant take this any further!"
me: (kind of lost for words at first i say), "hey im just a fun guy acting sociable, no biggie, nice to meet you tho, i gotta get back to my mates"

Next, i open up a 2-set of HB5 and HB8 freshers. It goes well at first good opener, i use the "cheer up it might never happen line," both laugh and i just act banterous but tbh i thought i pushed a neg too far. Anyways i wasnt sure how to isolate the HB8 so ended up facebook closing them both! Not too bad but didnt get a great vibe tbh.

Next i open up another 2 set (which later turns into a 4-set of freshers), a HB5 (who looked about 12 and was about 4ft tall!!) and a cute HB8 with really nice hair. Anyways being fairly drunk at this point i give and recieve some good banter from these 2 girls, we ripped each others accents and she found me funny! Got a bit of kino going too, i hugged her and she hugged me back, but i knew i was giving fluff talk and i felt a bit boring tbh, i felt as though i was running out of things to say and i felt uncomfortable with some of the silences. At one point i even appologised for talking bullshit (What the fuck was i thinking!). However I number close the HB8 but i dont know how strong a vibe she was giving off, Maybe if i get the text right i can reignite this situation.

After this i think my mates had gone home and i was going solo as the other mates i randomly met out werent really talking to any girls.

My solo efforts continued to decline and although i had a really good convosation with some HB7 outside about a lot of stuff (got quite deep at one point) i think again i was talking garbage at times, i wasnt really relaxed and i felt more like a clown rather than laid back and cocky (which usually i am). Tried talking to a few girls but i wasnt in the right mind set and i was bored, on my own and tired.

1 last go i thought tho when i saw a cute girl sat at the side of the road her her mate (a guy) who was wasted. Foolishly i put on an aussie accent! she loves it and keeps tellin me its sexy etc. By this time we were linking arms and kinoing! But she had some guy mate with her (who wasnt a threat really, just someone she knew). She lives on the same street as me tho! But says
HB7: "im going to get some take away with my mate,"
me : "ok, cool"
HB7 : "nice meeting you and hopefully i will see you around on my street"
i say the same and finally go home, feeling a bit disapointed that i didnt move in on the HB7!

I got in feeling pretty depressed really, and for the last hr and a half i handt enjoyed wandering round like a lonely cloud. I felt i performed miles better in my last trip out when i was in manchester. Anyways, hope you guys can give some good pointers for me and where i can improve on my game.
