Seeing as I'm new here I thought I'd start a diary so I can tell you all about my adventures, and maybe hopefully grab some tips as to where I'm going wrong.

So.... Friday night!

Headed out to a club in town (abc, for those who know Glasgow). Went to a pub beforehand and I made no appraoches. I don't have particularly bad AA, but building rapport and kino aren't my strong points, so once I've approached the conversation often dries up and can be quite awkward.

In the queue to the club (should make clear here that I'm with a couple of guys who are both taken), two girls come up behind us in the queue... I have two extra free passes so take the opportunity to give it to them and, seeing as it's raining ask to share an umbrella. I chat with them, I quite like the quieter blonde one, but seem to have more in common with the brunette. I ask if she wants to add me on Facebook and she says yeah, and accepted me on her phone right away. Once in the club I say I'll catch up with them later (hoping I'd bump into them), but I never did.

Later in the club I approach 3 girls in the smoking area and ask how their night is. Bad move, as one of them appeared to have been (very drunk) and upset, so she shouts at me. What was quite nice though is one of her friends then apologised, but introduced herself to me and shook my hand. But I decided not to continue after that.

That ended my escapades on Friday night.

In other news... I'm on a few online dating sites. Got a date tomorrow night, she's pretty sweet. I'm good at getting a kiss close on a first date, but I'd love to challenge myself and see if I can get a lay on the third (i.e. by the weekend) with her. Any tips for me?

You can get laid on the 2nd one man, just invite her round yours for drinks, films etc. Then just relax and take your time with it.

Yeah that really was the question... how to go from nothing to a lay in 2-3 dates. Anyone have a reasonable method for me to try?

First date is now on Thursday evening, so will need something that'll make her think about getting closer with me...

You make it sound like a big deal. If you act like it's a big deal she'll treat it like a big deal. People can go from nothing to a lay in 20 minutes sometimes. Going over the course of 2 dates is fairly normal.

Meet up with her near (preferably within walking distance of) your place and go for a drink. Bar hop to a few different places. Be physical, arm round her, hand stuff, walking places arm in arm etc. but just relax and take your time with it. Also, don't wait till the end to kiss her. About an hour in is reasonable for a date I reckon. Then after you've been to a few different bars suggest going round your for a drink (I normally make cocktails or some gay shit). If she's a bit defensive or worried just chill and act like it's no big deal. Then get some drinks in when you get back and stick a film on. Be prepared to be up late. Time's on your side here. Again, physical but patient and chill with it. If you get to then point and move things forward in a cool, intelligent way you'll probably wind up having sex with her. At least that's what I do...

If she's going on a date with you she already is.

If a girl voluntarily agrees to spend time alone with you on a "date" then she's already viewing you as a potential sex partner.

So if there is a "method" then it is simply this ...

1) Don't do anything completely fucking dumb.
2) Ensure the opportunity exists.

RE 1, Just be your fun normal self, try to work in a bit of kino, don't be a pussy who fawns over her and agrees with everything she says.

RE 2, The best lines/routines etc in the world are not going to get you a shag if the basic logistics wont allow it e.g. your miles away from both your homes (or some other shag den) surrounded by strangers. So ensure the 2/3rd dates are at r near potential shag venues.

Thanks for the advice Sapphire, you're right about the Kino, it's something I have to work on. Although I think I'm slipping into the 'friend' zone because of it now, so seriously need to work on it.

Furthermore, I need my arse kicked for this weekends performance. Made a grand total of one approach on Friday night, and even then managed to lose her. I'll shortly post a plan for what I'm going to do to redeem myself next weekend...

She's pretty much gone, although I slept with someone else the other day, but she's not... great. So I'll be looking for someone to replace her asap!
