I think that a great noob section would be one that teaches that canned material / pua techniques are crap, and instead sets guys onto the right path immediately. Almost like a first-step countermeasure to wipe free all of the brainwashing techniques some of us absorbed by starting out with those PDF kits and such.

The quality of posts has plummeted and the hive mind has now become arrogant and hostile towards anything remotely “pua” related. So quite obviously, it scares off new guys. I will take some of this responsibility, but this is a community and we must all do our bit if we want to inject some life back into it. For those that can remember the 2009 early 2010 years of the forum, it was a totally different place. Some really great content was being written. I would even say; we actually did have the best PUA forum on the net. What we have now is a bad reputation. Not just online but in the field too (I’ll take responsibility for that).

A beginner’s forum may well be a good idea but I think allot of us have to change our attitude towards new guys as we are not very accommodating to them anymore. The constant bickering and snarky humours needs to be toned down too, it’s almost become PUAchan this place.

I hope that there will be a renaissance period at some point in the future. But it’s just up to us as if we want it or not.

That’s my thought anyway.
i shall do my best to adhere to this!

The problem is - the existing guys who have success with women, drop ALL the gimmicks

I remember when i first joined and i found some posts with Jaz and K about going out round manchester handing out playing cards to girls and wearing them round their necks etc

I think once you have a lot of success with girls you just dont give a shit about that stuff anymore- you dont need to rely on gimmicks to get you girls

I think we have all lost our hunger

infact if you put somethin in the nood section I.e

* this section is for the new guys, once u realise that the canned material isnt what works, but you...

once you realise that the words you say when you approach dont matter & you can pretty much say anythin as long as ur awesome...

then stay in this section.... once u are ready to accept that PUA isnt about lines, & material & its about being awsome

& finaly.... once u have approached a shit load of women... & been told to fuck off.... or fucked them... it doesnt matter the outcome,

but once you have realised after lots of approached that the words are just 7% of their meaning... and the rest is just you!!

then move on to the main section. Untill then.... keep note of how many bitches floss & let us know when you wanna take the big steps**
I couldn't have put it better myself.
This is exactly it. They'd guys need to learn these fundemental principles themselves. You can't just tell them to be confident and expect them to act confident. Confidence comes from competence.

Just to clear something up, there is one reason why our traffic dropped.
It has nothing to do with trends, popularity or anything other than the fact that Google penalised us.

See the attached image for clarification. The arrow points to the date I received an email from Google stating that we had been penalised. Bear in mind that over 70% of our visits are from new visitors.

If we wanted to really increase traffic to this site we would do some of the following:

Facebook,Twitter page - with links back to the main site
Posters on here would also post on other online forums having links back to our site in their signature and referncing articles they pulled off this site
Create online articles on a different webserver/domain taking about pickup etc and have references back to this forum.

this is all classic SEO work - wont get you penalised by google and will make google give you credibility,
you will not only get new blood to the forum who hapen across all your pages as above-- BUT you`ll also get ranked much higher in search engine results
i dont know how you got penalised by google but doing thinks like createing blank pages with puaforum.co.uk etc in backgroudn colour txt will!

I'm a professional web developer. You're right, we need to embrace social media. I will get on it.

Cloaked links will get you penalised you're right. It was nothing this basic that got us slapped, I believe it was a bigger algorythmic factor, including suspicious link patterns. Not worth dwelling on now.
