Anybody play poker online here? S&G's, MTT, cash games etc. I've been playing for a while on and off, never anything serious, but after speaking to a friend who said he's making good money from it atm I fancy giving it a go. My new aim is to be financially stable by the time I'm 30, so that 7 years to be a millionaire .

I'm pretty clued up on all the stats side of it as well so I was thinking of making a spreadsheet to calculate the odds at each play, shouldn't be to hard (famous last words lol).

Anyway if anyone's got any advice or tips then post them up. Once I've made a spreadsheet I'll be more than happy to send it to anybody who wants a copy.

Never done any good at online poker, considering I've always done well in the few cash games I've played in real life it led me to not trusting online poker/casinos. Too easy for them to fuck with you imo..

You can get programs to work out your odds that work with the actual sites (or could) might be worth looking into?

Yeh well I think that was the problem - people were using 'bots' to essentially play the game for them, always making plays based on odds. Pretty sure most of these are illegal now though.

I can't see anything wrong with having a spreadsheet up and running whilst playing though. The only issue may be the amount of variables that would need to be input - would there be enough time?

Well I'm real grown up now with a job and everything so I've got money to spare lol so going to give this a go (and matched betting, that shit sounds awesome :-P).

Try and learn mate, just make small mistakes rather than big ones!

Do matched betting though I've done a few now and it was piss easy, im gonna open a separate bank account soon so I wont have any issues with my bank about gambling then I'm gonna rattle through the rest of the offers and move on to arb betting, would love the laptop lifestyle if I can make it work for me!

Haha same here mate. There's got to be more to life than working. Having the freedom to go wherever I want whenever I want is my dream of dreams :-). I'm also looking into affiliate marketing.

If all else fails I'll have settle with being a drug dealer lol.

The problem with your spreadsheet idea is good players do that in there head not a bad idea thou for amateur playing.

match betting would be a better option theres a few guys doing it already on here.

affiliate marketing takes a lot of work its actually what i'm doing now as I want the laptop work anywhere lifestyle.

I may write a beginners guide when I get time and if there's interest.

do not I repeat do not buy make money products majority of them only make the author money. its more shady than the pua industry

a website I would recommend is blackhatworld (not linking search for it) most IM forums are crap.

you really need to understand what type of marketing you want to move into for example i'm currently working in or moving into the following.

SEO -the art of getting a website to the top of google to either sell a product or get paid of ads clicks on your website. some of the spam you see on here are people trying to do this although its pretty stupid as google in this day in age sees unrelated links like that as spam and after a short amount of time there website will fall or get a unnatural link warning from google.

software moving into this working on a couple of projects and have a lot of custom software which i'm making "commercial ready" marketers need tools theres a lot of money to be made in this sector.

alternative traffic own a big facebook page congratulations you just created a targeted market to sell you affiliate products. get a youtube video on first page of youtube congratulations your video on how to remove acne you did when you were 14 will earn you some serious money. I should work on this a bit harder I mainly drive traffic from twitter to create a buzz about some of my websites created many custom bots for people so theres lots of money to be made going to move into this a lot more as part of my income diversity plan.

service backlinks (the main reason a website ranks in google) is what people will pay a premium for ive done a few random jobs for people starting a website at the end of the month you can also sell on IM forums.

this is what I'm working towards to get rid of the day job its complete diversity so if one area is doing bad for a few months i'll still be able to live.

there's many other areas of affiliate marketing the above is only the ones I work in or am working towards.
