You are totally wrong thereasons as once you get the hang of cold approaching it is very easy. It is best to start off with situational openers when first cold approaching. Then when you get more confident at it you can go for more direct openers. It took me ages to get enough courage to do my first cold approaches. But I found situational openers help a lot as the woman does not know you are hitting on her. And you can use situational openers almost anywhere.
