I'm gonna necro this thread and state that I found the Rational Male to be a horribly negative book. One book I'd definitely not recommend for anyone with anxiety issues.

Whenever I've delved into this book, I've felt worse whenever approaching/gaming women, as I subconsciously think about the negative content in it. I've shelved it for now and only plan on returning when I'm happier with my results.

James Tusk commonly recommends the book for beginners of his coaching. This has certain implications for what kind of clients he's looking for (as in, ones which don't have mental issues).
