today i'll be reviewing a few books i've read, feel free to comment or ask further questions.

the first book i'll review is the essence of pick up in general, and a must read for every starting PUA. Obviously i'm talking about The Game from Neill Strauss. This isn't like most pua books, where you have certain chapters like openers and LMR and that kind of stuff. The game is a book about Neill Strauss becoming friends with mystery (from the mystery method, which i'll review later), and becoming one of the greatest PUA's ever. During the story, Neill talks about his friendship with Mystery, how they lived with a few other PUA's in a house in hollywood, and about their daily life. He talks about goin out and teaching aspiring PUA's how to pick up chicks, how to open and close, how to peacock, and tonnes of other stuff.

This book is a must read because it teaches you quite a lot (not as much as most books however), and it's written very well so it's also a really pleasant read.

I'd give it a 7.5/10

Yeah I guess The Game is more like a good-night story more than an actual pick-up learning tool. Most guys read The Game and go out and realise that life isn't as sugar-coated as they thought. I guess no matter how much you read, the real stuff happens in field. But good read though

It's a great read - the techniques in it though are not nearly as useful as we always imagine picking it up.
Real game books teach you exactly what women look for along with how to display that, how to move forward and how to develop the relationship.

All that said tho it was truly enjoyable and I'm sure was the catalyst that brought many of us here.

Also yes it's all in the field. No matter how many book's you read you are totally able to create your own unique way of being a pick up artist. That's the whole thing - it's an art form and everyone is totally unique in how they do it.

You can learn techniques and even follow others game to the T - it's all sharing new technology and developing your own.

I don't like Neil Strauss, he stole 540 dollars from me. What happen is, I got one of his packages from his web site. Which did turn up. but then he started taking out 90 dollars from my bank account every month. when I clocked this, I emailed him, asking why and he said that I was joined to his web site. And in return I get a magazine and DVD every month. The only problem is that the magazine and DVD ever turned up. When I question him, he said the post man must have stolen it. This went on for six months until I canceled my credit card. He must think I'm stupid, it's basically the classic e-bay scam. Honestly, I don't have the money to sue him.

The fact is, his web site is set up in such a way to maximise profit and bleed you dry. I think he is a horrible nasty person. Thinking this, now reread his book and see how he managers to insult absolutely everyone in the community.

And he is so fake. Considering how he spends so much time bragging about A-list celebrities; it's strange how he has never dated any A-list celebrities.

"The Game" should only be read for a outline of what goes on in the community. Even though in ever interview Neil Struass likes to think the book is about him. It's not. the main character is "Mystery". Neil is just the conduit to Mystery. That and the fact that Neil just goes round ripping off everyone and reselling their material for an extortionate profit.

I'm rereading The Game at the moment. It's funny more than useful. I really laughed out loud literally when I read the stuff about 'Extramask' learning how to masturbate without having his semen dry up as hard as a rock and clog his penis making it painful to pee. Besides comedy moments like these the only other thing the book does is provide you with inspiration to get good with women.

It's not especially good for learning much that couldn't be found in a paperback from WHSmiths.
