Strong anti-PUA sentiment from friends

Have any of you found that if you try to discuss pick-up with a group of friends, they gang together to be extremely anti-PUA, regardless of what you say to explain what you mean?

Not a single one of my friends is prepared to entertain the notion that a man attempting to overcome shyness to create attraction with women is acceptable behaviour. Apparently it's just harassing women.

I find this pretty demoralising. How do you guys deal with this?

If you talk about pick up then yes people will find it weird.

If you go out and chat to girls then your mates think your cool and fuck. Pick up us weird and secretive, being a lad who chats up birds is socially high value.

Anything that is unconventional that they don't understand seems weird and scary to people. Learning about psychology, an actual science about the way the mind works, not even pua related is enough to turn people against you or think you are weird. Most people just want to fit in and be normal, this is a strong psychological motivation.

Started investing in Bitcoin and other digital currencies and when ever I talk about it with someone they often give me a weird look and even laugh at me for it, despite making 10 times profit in the last 6months.

Ok I'm sick of seeing this Bitcoin shit everywhere now.

What the fuck is it and how the fuck does it work?

Buzz9 21-12-2017 09:33 PM

lol. They're digital currencies/assets which were created as a way of paying people who mined with their computers.

You can mine for them. Buy them with an online wallet like blockchain.info or short sell them with a trading site like trading212. Basically 6 months ago a bitcoin was around $2000 per token, now its $15000 - 19000 per token and expected to increase.

Bitcoin is only one of many out there now, Etherium has doubled in price in a month.

What exactly does mine for them mean? That doesn't make clear what actually happens or what actions are needed.

Just sounds like a pile of steaming hot turd. Are you telling me you just buy a bunch of this online currency, and it somehow increases over time? So where the fuck does this extra money come out of?

Jordan Belfort said in a live TV interview last week that it's a scam.

Wait... A known and convicted scam artist is where you are getting your information, Dan? Good one, Muppet.

How it works...
There's a mathematical problem. People use computers to try to solve that mathematical problem. Computer X solves the problem and receives a small amount of digital currency for winning given that computers that account for more than half the processing power of all computers trying to solve the problem agree that computer X has solved the problem. When the problem is solved new entries in the digital currency ledger are created. The agreement of what is the correct answer to the problem is also the agreement of what transactions took place on those ledger entries.

This process means that the system has trust built in and does not require a central point of trust that can be corrupted. This process creates an inherent value to the currency that relates the cost of this mining to the reward for mining. The reward exceeds the cost or the mining is without reward. It's basic economics.

This solves the major problem of banking and other similar systems that by their design create niches of power that can be exploited by corrupt individuals.

Currency is just the beginning. The blockchain is really a new internet being born. Currency is just it's first implementation. Next we are going to see a whole bunch of other industries disturbed by this technology. Things like Airbnb and Uber are a halfway house between game a and game b.

It hasn't really got anything to do with trading for profit. That's just a byproduct of its volatility as a new disruptive entity in an old stabilised system.

Peace,

kowalski

My thinking was, the fact that he IS a convicted scam artist, would make his word hold substance on this particular topic.

He doesn't appear to have anything to lose or gain by saying it is or it isn't, so what's the point in him saying it at all?

Good explanation though. The first read through went over my head. The second, made more sense.

What? Don't be silly.

If you want to know more about it, listen to the Rogan episodes with that Greek kid antonionio andopaloopdaloopo. He breaks it down real well.

Peace,

Belfort doesn't understand the technology behind this. Just like company shares they go up and down in value, buy low or as low as you can and sell for a higher price.

Truth is nobody knows just how this will end, you either take a risk or you don't, so far I'm making money.
