Awkwardness when you accidentally approach an ugly chick

I have this paranoia of approaching an ugly chick and putting my heart and soul into the approach and then when I get closer I can see they are actually a bit misshapen.

Sometimes I am gonna approach then at the last minute bail when I get a good look at the face.

There was this one today outside Sainsbury's actually which looked good from a distance but when she got closer I didn't bother.

Is this just approach anxiety masquerading as something else?
