Just got good news - the management of my housing association don't have a problem with me using my home address as a business address.

Doing it by the book, it feels good and no matter how slow the progress I'm it for the long haul anyways.

Serious question..

Just before Christmas, I covered reception for an hour at the company I work at. During that hour, the CEO walked by reception and asked me to do him a favour, but I should tell you..

The CEO is only in our office maybe twice a year. He is normally in our head office in Dublin. He doesn't bother with us.

The day I was doing reception he was walking past reception from the domestic side of the office to the business side of the office, the reception is in the middle.

As he walked past he turned towards reception and said "excuse me" I stood up, because the CEO is talking to me, and he said "is there a bin there" I said yes there is, and he reached over the glass barrier and dropped a handful of orange peels into my hand, and walked away.

I took that as a major insult. The fuckin CEO who never even asked my name got me to throw his orange peels in the bin when he could have easily walked to the bin at our kitchen area.

Most people agree that I'm right, a few think I'm overreacting. But I think that if you are a person who accepts something like that, you're a small thinker.

Am I overreacting?

You put your hand out though. Blame yourself, if you didn't like it.

But, no, that is a perfectly normal thing to ask a receptionist to do.

Both valid points. I never thought of it that way.

Really though, what I've done is purposely perceived it in the way I have done, in order to solidify my determination to work for myself.

Got my final module results today which was a pass with a C (67%).

I don't get the overall classification for another few days but after 5.5 years I can finally say I'm officially now a psychology grad.

It's going to be a 2.2 or it could even be a third. But zero fucks are given because like I said before I was going to pack it in on more than one occasion, so getting anything is better than nothing.

Graduating, no matter the classification, on something I studied as a hobby and general interest in the subject, is fine by me.

By orange peel do you mean penis and by your hand do you mean arse?

Although that would probably be a more interesting story, no.

Having taken most of the week off work I've been balls deep in a dropshipping masterclass course that my mate paid $1000 for.

When I get through the next 3 modules I'll be jumping into product research and demographics.

Having struggled with what kind of online business area to get into, this now seems like a no-brainer.

I have my doubts, but I have more confidence and willingness than doubts.

Got nothing to lose except maybe a few quid.

Whilst I was putting a few hundred quid into my savings account earlier (the one I have always planned to use for business) I decided fuck it I'm going to arrange a meeting to talk about a business account instead. I have a limited company, so it just seems like a logical step to take. Keeping everything above board and tight.

The appointment is on the morning of August 8th. I'm currently in the product/market research phase, so between now and then I'm going to get more of a plan put together in terms of what I'll be selling.

One of the questions asked when making the appointment was how much turnover do you forecast for the first year... I laughed into myself as I explained to him that with dropshipping it can take months of testing before you hit 5 figures a month, but I felt brave and told him I'd be hoping for 100k.

I imagine I'll also put together a list of important questions I require answers to. Anyone got any off the top of their head I should add to the list?

Perhaps I should choose a separate bank than one I hold a current account in?
