So you don't think that pick up is something that can be taught then?

I used to study Italian without teachers. I just bought grammar books and went out speaking to people. I got quite good but continued to make mistakes that nobody corrected and picked up a few bad habits.

Then I decided to do an advanced course. The teacher was great and immediately identified my sticking points. We ironed out my bad habits and almost completely perfected my grammar.

As a teacher myself, I appreciate that things can be self taught to a certain standard, but there really is no substitute for a good teacher and a well planned course.

Do you not believe that attracting and picking up women could work in the same way?
