Far be it for me to suggest this is a one-size-fits-all solution. And I'm not suggesting a newbie might want to read The Mystery Method cover to cover before even thinking of opening a set. Rather, if I were out and about with a newbie, I would recommend the use of a basic canned opener to simply give them something to say to a girl, which doesn't require thought. The aim is to defeat AA, and to provide the first building block which says 'its ok to go and talk to a girl'.

From there the newbie may wish too, and would be recommended to seek non-canned openers, thus providing a second building block which says 'its ok to go and talk to a girl... And it doesn't actually matter what you say'.
